Food Service During Pandemic

Waiver Allows Free Meals for All Students

The District has been approved to serve free meals to ALL students regardless of meal status, as well as all community members age 18 and under. For remote learners, or those on an alternating schedule, we now have mobile ordering available through Nutrislice, either on the Nutrislice app or through the Nutrislice menus linked on the District website hereWe ask that all orders are placed by 8am for same day pickup.  All students, whether in-person or remote, will be eligible for a free breakfast and a free lunch each school day. Curbside pickup lunch orders will include a breakfast for the following morning and pickups will occur at the following locations and times:

  • Barry School (Southern Attendance Area Students - Barry, Pathfinder, PCHS): Front circle drive, 12:30 to 1:30pm
  • Platte City Middle School (Northern Attendance Areas Students - Compass, Siegrist, PCMS, PCHS): Front drive, 12:30 to 1:30 pm.

If you think you may qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch, please fill out the form linked here, so that you are covered when this free program ends. This form is not required to receive the free meals under this waiver, but helps us assist families in various other ways.

These waivers are allowed for the remainder of the school year.

Additional meals and a la carte items (extra milk, extra entrees, chips, etc.) are not included in the waiver. This waiver does not include adult meals.

Additional Support

The PCR-3 Treasure Chest will also be providing groceries to assist families who qualify for Free or Reduced Meal Plans on Wednesdays, from 4-6pm. Families will need to register here or call 816.858.7001 and, once approved, can drive through to receive additional food. The Treasure Chest will operate out of its original site in the north parking lot of PCHS and through the circle drive at Barry School. These sites will be open Wednesdays, from 4-6pm, for registered and approved PCR-3 families. Identification must be provided to receive food.
