PCHS Seniors Recognized as Got Character Representatives

Before the first home Pirates football game on August 26, 90 PCHS seniors were recognized for pledging to promote positive character and mentor younger students by helping them realize they can be successful by making healthy choices and being drug-free.

PCHS FBLA Recognized with Honors at Nationals
07/15/2022
PCHS FBLA, led by advisers Hannah Kasner and Arian Huhmann, had a total of 12 students compete at the national level. Students first competed at the district and state level to earn a spot to represent Missouri at the national competition. There were 300-400 individuals/teams competing in each national category.

PCHS FBLA Sends 48 to State

Congrats to PCHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students on their achievements at the 2022 District 4 Leadership Conference on February 7 at UMKC. A total of 66 members competed and 48 students in 55 events will advance to the state competition in April 10-12, 2022 in Springfield, Missouri.

All District Band/Jazz Band and Choir Results

Congratulations to PCHS, Barry, and PCMS musicians on being selected to the 2020-21 All-District Bands and All-District Choir! Auditions were submitted virtually in December. All 18 of the PCHS vocalists that auditioned were selected for All-District Choir, 20 for the High School Honor Band, 7 for the High School Concert Band, 11 for the High School Jazz Ensemble, 16 for the Junior High All District Band, and 3 for the Junior High Jazz Ensemble.

PCHS FBLA Sends 55 to State

Congrats to our PCHS Future Business Leaders of America students who recently competed in the 2021 Virtual District 4 Leadership Conference, bringing home 17 first place, 12 second place, 11 third place, 7 fourth place, and 9 fifth place finishes, among other state qualifying entries. A total of 67 members entered various events, and 55 will be advancing to virtual state competition in mid-April.

Coach Donovan Honored as Coach of the Year

During halftime of the PCHS Girls Basketball Game on January 18, the Greater Kansas City Officials Association presented PCHS Volleyball Coach Katlyn Donovan with the Jarry Thomas Memorial High School Volleyball Coach of the Year Award. Qualifications for this award are coaches who know court protocol, who encourage and get the most out of players, who focus on coaching rather than officiating, and who lead in sportsmanship.

Free meals for all students
Waiver Allows Free Meals for All Students
